I believe that if you are not learning new things you stop growing, and I have a thirst for learning and growing. I buy more books than I can finish, and I try to master every hobby I take on. I’m equally passionate about empowering others to achieve success in business and in life and give them the knowledge they need to thrive. I’ve learned many lessons throughout my career of starting and building businesses, and I want to share the wisdom with anyone who is interested.
I started my first business at 12 years old DJ-ing at parties. As I got older I started producing my own music and selling my albums when I performed. After attending Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, I graduated from Full Sail University. I then founded a music production company, SoClear Productions, and became a principal in Morgans Media Group, an entertainment company.
As a way to raise more capital for my production businesses, I accepted a sales position with a leisure sales and marketing company. It was a natural fit for my progression in business, building relationships, selling, and closing deals. I also learned that it takes perseverance to build a successful business. I worked very hard around the clock because I wanted more out of life.
In 2005, while still working full time and running my own companies, I founded Alliance View, LLC, which would become Alliance Reservations Network. I knew the future was technology so I invested heavily in a state-of-the-art travel benefits platform that could be customized for each client. In August 2019 Alliance Reservations Network was acquired by publicly traded Wyndham Destinations, now Travel + Leisure Co. (NYSE:TNL), for $92 million.
